A: because all our cakes are unique and made to the specifications of the client and of course the occasion.

A: unfortunately this is not possible,we do not have the facilities to showcase the preparation of our cakes,this helps to keep our overheads down and as a result the cost of the cakes.We also like to keep the area as free from cross contamination as possible,this ensures that we have total control over Health and Safety issues.

Q: I want a cake but the celebration is less than 4 weeks away, is there anyway I can order a cake?
A: Although we do ask for orders to be be placed 4 weeks in advance for a birthday etc cake and 6 weeks for a wedding cake. it is sometimes possible to fit in express orders,however, we cannot guarantee these places will be available.

A: We will be happy to re-schedule if there is as least 2 weeks prior to the event,if not then there is nothing we can do and the full cost of the cake will be due and pick up or delivery must take place as agreed at the time of the original order!


Q:What is a rich fruit cake?

:A Rich Fruit cake is made using an assortment of dried fruits and dark brown sugar resulting in a very rich firm cake which once marzipaned and iced will last for a very long time uncut (up to two years!) and 6 months after cutting if kept wrapped in baking parchment and sealed in an airtight conatainer.


Q: what is a light fruit cake?

 A Light Fruit cake is made using an assortment of dried fruits and a light brown sugar,the cake is not as firm as a Rich Fruit cake but will once decorated last for some time uncut (up to one year!) and 3months after cutting if kept  wrapped in baking parchment and sealed in an airtight container.


Q:how long will a sponge cake last once decorated?

A: A sponge once it has been covered in fondant will last up to 3 weeks uncut once cut it will last for 5 days in an airtight container.DO NOT REFRIDGERATE


Q: what are the flowers and decoration made from and are they edible?

A: All the decorations are made from sugar and are edible.....however it is not recommended that you eat your floral displays, (as they contain wires to support ) but keep them.


 Q: what are the  decoration made from on adults cake and are they edible ?

 A: All the decorations are made from fondant  or almond paste and are completey edible.


Q: what are the  decoration made from on childrens cakes  and are they edible?

 A: All the decorations are made from fondant and or almond paste and are completey edible. we use wherever possible colours derived from natural plant sources and are proud to say we use NO E colours at all
